When I think about film and movies I see them as works of motion and bodies in motion, in taking this footage I tried to explore that. What are these bodies moving (or the camera being a body and moving through a space), how are they moving and what happens between multiple bodies. in some sense the short films are more pure, only motion pictures.
The audio is something different all together. Voice and language interact differently than bodies in motion. Sometimes they overlap, sometimes its just a glimpse of a word or a sound. sometimes just a noise feels very complete and it's not a word. So the audio looks to explore that in a more pure sense. The juncture of sounds and words and emotions that are promoted there of.
The short films are a combination of two independently designed things. I designed the audio track for it's own properties and principles, and designed the video track based on its own principles. You could just watch the films or just listen to them and have a full experience. So there are three different things in one single thing; an audio, a video, and an audio/video poem.
